The family moved to Himachal, and Rani worked with Himachal Tourism Development Corporation for decades, building close relationships with travelers from India and abroad. In 2008, she fulfilled her dream by converting her own residence into Rani's Homestay. Today the homestay is run by Rani's daughter-in-law Sonia and family, continuing the same values of warmth, honesty, and local hospitality. The stay features traditional Himachali character and cozy modern comfort.
